The bar is finished! I managed to get the hall done. Also working on my studio.

We had to help find this fella a new home, within a day. I had it re-homed, by a friend, within 31 minutes of my post. He has a new family and is safe. My second rescue. Here’s my first. I saved her from freezing to death. She is now Bettie Lou and lives with my […]
I’ll keep the surfboard yellow, but fritatta? How about cigarette cream? Yes.
My inspiration for this room is from one of my favorite artists, Dawn Fraser of SophistaTiki. I adore this!
I mentioned that I wanted a drawing table, so my boyfriend got right to it. He doesn’t mess around. So, while this will be finished this weekend, I can’t list, draw, paint or sew. I’m cleaning and organizing other parts of the house, because my studio is a tornado. Am I complaining? Heck no! I wasn’t ready, but it’s happening. I need to look through my pin board for inspiration, now.
While I wait for my new job to begin, I have plenty of time to plan for things, such as my living room paint and the entire bathroom. I have collected so many things, in the past, that I had a lot of what I needed. My inspiration board was finished, before I started. I had the material and sea horses from an old Ebay purchase. The two gold leafed antique mirrors and frame came from an antique mall, in Torrance, Ca. The lion hook came from my great aunt’s house. We (family) all agree that she had to have stolen it from the original MGM, Las Vegas. That ‘s what she and the cousins did. Gypsies! The mermaid and metal frames came from my nana. The Moai came from Mahalo Tiki at Tiki Caliente. The vintage tile came from a friend who was moving, and needed to unload some stuff. That was a total score. Pink with silver, gold, and copper confetti. There are my swatches for paint. I’m thinking of a gold accent wall or some gold atomic star bursts. I have other oldie goldie accessories from my nana, like the vintage gold metal and glass, floral soap dish and mouth rinse glass that came with the vanity set.
So I’m leaning towards a pedestal sink, due to the size of the room.
The faucet seems simple enough.
There is no place for the roll either, so I found this, IN GOLD! hahaa.
The material will cover the shelf piece that is existing above the loo, now. I’m thinking of painting that thing gold, as well. The loo, itself, is fine. I think I’ll order the pink or white shell toilet seat, though…
Lastly, the towels and the curtain.
I may design the curtain myself. I can do that, now ; )
